Sylvia is a fifth-generation Virginian, born to a family of civil rights advocates in Northern Virginia. She graduated from Woodbridge High School, earned a B.S. in Economics and Accounting from Bowie State University and a M.A. in Special Education from George Mason University.

Sylvia is a wife, teacher and mother to five. She has been a member of the Broad Run community in Loudoun County for over 20 years.

Sylvia is proud to be running for the Board of Supervisors to represent Broad Run.
